Many of you have seen the classic movie Bull Durham, starring Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins. Released in the year 1988, this movie was centered around the Durham Bulls baseball team of the Carolina League, which was a Single-A Minor League that is still around. At the time, the team played in the old Durham Bulls Athletic Park, which can be found at the corner of   and  just down the street from the central part of Downtown Durham. The team has since been changed to a Triple-A franchise and relocated to a newer stadium closer to the central part of downtown, but the legendary stadium that played as home of the Bulls for many years and as a set for what I consider the greatest baseball movie of all time is still standing. It is even still in use as home of the North Carolina Central University baseball team. While the stadium is not always open for the public to wonder in and out of, it is still easy to see from the outside, and worth a walk around for both baseball lore and Hollywood nostalgia.
